Here we have the Marni picture that I promised before. Again, this is available at the Etsy shop. Just in time for the F/W 2012 shows I’m painting the last of the S/S 2012 shows – the gorgeous Valentino. Hopefully I’ll have it up before the shows start though.

Here we have the second, and last, part of the Couture shows. We have, Elie Saab, Jean Paul Gaultier and finally the best of them all – Valentino. As ususal the images are from Style.com. With the Couture shows over it means there’s only a little while until the RTW F/W 2012 shows start, so be on your guard, they’re coming!

When I fisrt heard about this I was a little confused; I was expecting to see models from Newcastle or the like (just goes to show the breadth of my thought!). But, the title actually refers to a project by the creative duo: Peter Farago and Ingela Klemetz Farago. The idea is that the images represent over 500 pieces of Chanel couture from the past and present, it features over 45 models of northern european descent. These images below (from mode.newslicious) are just the first to be released, so stay tuned for more images coming soon…..

Today is a good day. Not only have I just had my last English exam, I also became officially self-employed today, and to add to all that, the couture shows started. We start with Alexis Mabille, then Bouchra Jarrar, then a muted blue Chanel. Then we have the mad-men inspired Christian Dior, followed by Giambattista Valli and lastly Versace’s first couture collection since 2004. Images from Style.com.

I’m sure most of you have heard of Edmund Dulac, or seen his amazing images. But even as an arty person, I wasn’t very aware of this man, I just knew I loved the pictures. These gorgeous fairytale images are so detailed and colour cut your eyes can’t help but be drawn to them. All the images are from the far reaches of the web (mainly Wikipedia/media.)
