Go Green?

I’m not sure that I could ever pluck up the courage to do it, but I’ve always fancied the idea of having green hair. The ‘issue’ has been highlighted recently by FashionCopious and it’s got me thinking. I probably wouldn’t have my entire hair dyed, but a graduated tone as seen in the pictures below. I just like it. Pictures by Jolijn Snijders of I Love Fake – they’re called Grunge. Via.

Lula and Harvey

Lula Magazine turns 5 this year and to celebrate it they’ve teamed up with Harvey Nichols to create a pop-up shop that opens on July 1st – tomorrow! There will be all sorts of unique, one off pieces designed especially for Lula by the likes of Miu Miu (yes!), Rodarte, Erdem and more. But don’t despair if, like moi, you don’t have the dosh to buy one of the clothing  pieces, aside from window shopping you can also buy music and books from the likes of Karen Elson and Daisy de Villeneuve. Plus, if that wasn’t enough, there’s a rumour that none other than Chanel will be bestowing a gift upon those that make a purchase. And the cherry on the top: If you don’t happen to be able to get to the pop-up shop in Knightsbridge, all the gorgeous Lula-ness will be available online at the Harvey Nichols site. It’s fair to say I can’t wait! Via.
In other Lula news, I spent ages trying to find a way to post this, it’s the video from one of the editorials that was in issue 10. It’s called Empty House, by Sandra Freij.

Miu Miu Resort 2011

I’ve been impatiently waiting for the Miu Miu Resort 2011 collection to arrive and now it’s here. And I love it. Especially the green pola dot sandels in the last picture and the playsuits and dresses in the last 2 pictures. For some reason this collection makes me think of the taste of pear drops. Via.

Graduate Fashion Week – Central Saint Martins

Looking over the bounds of amazing talent that CSM have produced this year, I can see why it has the reputation it has. No other show has been on this scale, with so much diversity in it. My pick of the crop includes: Ah Young Choi, Anne Karine Thorbjoernsen, Carrie Hill,Cynthia Mak, Ching Man Wu, Eloise Jephson, Hiroko Nakajima, Karin Maim,Huishan Zhang, Isabel Czarnin Fishlock, Kenji Kawasumi, Sabina Bryntesson, a ton of beautiful colourful pieces by Koko Kasugai (great name!); an iron man vibe from Kwan Tae Kim; then Liz Black, Moira Cristescu, Onez Lau, Timur Kim, Simon Gray, Soo Kin Lee, a breathtaking ghostly white dress by Sorcha O’Raghallaigh, then Valerie Von Kittlitz; beautiful colours and structures from Tarik Kiswanson and finally Yeng Kyun Shin. Images from Catwalking, more info at the CSM site. The end is nigh for my GFW coverage, but it isn’t over just yet!
