Mode Monday on a Wednesday.

This is the French Connection silk playsuit, found at Asos. I’m aware that it could so easily catapult me back into the 80′s, but I’m willing to take the chance for this beautiful piece. I should probably say of the colour ; turquoise is one of the few colours that actually looks okay on me, so I tend to alight on all the turquoise things I can find, this one particularly, I adore. The price, however, is not so adorable at £130, it’s not very bad, but not great. Here is how I would accessorise it…

Cheap Chic.

Asos have done it again! The dress above is not unlike a shorter version produced by Topshop a few months ago. And all for £36! If you ask me, it’s simple enough to be taken for something much more expensive. I would probably pair it with a long 1940′s hair do and the accessories below.

Another Daydream

Don’t tell anyone, but sometimes my daydreams drift into that of creeping round a bleak and foggy Victorian London dodging heavy handed policemen, picking a pocket or two along the way (never getting caught, obviously!) and ending up in an backstreet pub alongside the underworld of London life, either that or when the ‘Little Princess’ is made to become a maid and draws that chalk circle on the floor of her attic room and crys for her……(note to self, musn’t divulge!). Anyway, in these somewhat bizarre daydreams I always find myself sporting a pair of weather worn lace up boots, a la the Asos ones below. It’s been on my list to buy a pair for a couple of years now, this time I may have to give in. The ones below cost £65, still a bit much but I may have to save up my pennies and buy a pair.

Shoppers Guilt

Well, Christmas is over (and I did get the camera – Yay!) for another year, did everyone get someting nice? If you failed to receive that particular thing that you wanted, never fear, the sales are here! I have already spent an alarming (to my poor student purse!) amount of money, however, I feel I spent well. In particular I brought a dress that I have been lusting after for about a year,I posted on it here, I got it for £18, down from £75, I could have waited until it went down some more, but I decided not to take the chance. I also purchased some basic pieces from the Asos sale. So if you’re after a bargain, get shopping now! This is (again!) the beautiful dress I brought. Happy spending!

Bargin Beauty

I was going about my daily Asos visit, when I came across this dress. For those who are looking for something special for the party season , and are on a bit of a budget, this could be the perfect dress. It’s simple enough to look seasonless, but still absolutely beautiful. It comes in black and Minky Gold (although it looks more like a silver to me!) and all for the very reasonable price of £85.
