Graduate Fashion Week – London College of Fashion, Somerset, Westminster + Winchester

We’ve finally got to the final push when it comes to GFW 2010 (1 month after it finished!). It’ll be a long one , I’m combining a massive 4 colleges: London College of Fashion, Somerset College at the University of Plymouth, The University of Westminster and finally The Winchester School of Art. London College of Fashion
From Central Saint Martins sister site: the London College of Fashion we have: Connie Lo, Flett Betram, Jennifer Hockenhull, Jennifer Ruth Low, lots of sparkles from Jess Sayers; then Karishma Shahani, Wei Ting Hu, Kai Yeung Yau, Naoya Nakayama, lovely inky patterns from Kate Atkinson and finally Yuco Kamiyama.
Somerset College
Somerset College, which is actually in Devon, adds a few more intresting pieces to the mix; we have Carys Pitcher, Claire Hawkins,Emma Chadwick, Heidi Hobson, Megan Fisher, Katherine Lichwa, Rebecca Stead and Suzannah Owen.
Westminster
From the dwelling place of the politicians, comes some contrasting artistic talent from: Hayley Lai, Carly Ellis, Eleanor Amoroso, gorgeous pastel dyes from Harriet Holling, then Elizabeth Oakley, Tamzin Lillywhite, Hannah Clayton and finally Sophie McKay.
Winchester
The last college to cover for 2010 (sigh!). We finish off nicely with talents of: Camille Harris, Dawlah Alsheri, Gemma Landing, Laura Powell and last, but by no means least Wai Yung Lau. Till next year Graduate Fashion Week – I bid you adieu.

Graduate Fashion Week – Central Saint Martins

Looking over the bounds of amazing talent that CSM have produced this year, I can see why it has the reputation it has. No other show has been on this scale, with so much diversity in it. My pick of the crop includes: Ah Young Choi, Anne Karine Thorbjoernsen, Carrie Hill,Cynthia Mak, Ching Man Wu, Eloise Jephson, Hiroko Nakajima, Karin Maim,Huishan Zhang, Isabel Czarnin Fishlock, Kenji Kawasumi, Sabina Bryntesson, a ton of beautiful colourful pieces by Koko Kasugai (great name!); an iron man vibe from Kwan Tae Kim; then Liz Black, Moira Cristescu, Onez Lau, Timur Kim, Simon Gray, Soo Kin Lee, a breathtaking ghostly white dress by Sorcha O’Raghallaigh, then Valerie Von Kittlitz; beautiful colours and structures from Tarik Kiswanson and finally Yeng Kyun Shin. Graduate Fashion Week – Bath + Northampton

So, this is the last couple of universities in the main GFW shows. We have Bath Spa University and the University of Northampton School of Arts. As always, images are from Catwalking, more info at the GFW site. We’ve still got a mammoth Central Saint Martins and London College of Fashion post, so here we go.
Bath
We’ve only a few from Bath: April Rose, Ruth Strugnell and Thierry Davies.
Northampton
We have a few more from Northampton: Alex Newton, Amy Robinson, lovely laciness from Alice Cleary; Rebecca Griffin, beautiful patterns by Holly Russell; Eleanor Burton and Emma Peel.

Graduate Fashion Week – Middlesex

The turn of Middlesex Univeristy. Lots of great talent here, there are pieces by: Charly Jacobs,Helen Carney, Jessica Shaw, Katrina Ferrari,Panda Parker (That’s one cool name!), Kate Hull-McCracken, Liesemarie Schulte-Kitzing,Lucy Kenney,Malene Oddershede Bach, Tabitha Blackhouse, Rebecca McClure and Shaghayegh Zavoshi. Graduate Fashion Week – Nottingham + Manchester

It’s been a while in the making, but here is the next GFW post. This time it’s Nottingham Trent University and Manchester Metropolitan University School of Art. Images from Catwalking, info -GFW.
Nottingham
So, to Nottingham. We have: Amy Tydeman,Miranda Boucher, muscle/vein/tree trunk inspired pieces by Heewon Park; then Samantha Bern, Phoebe Thirlwall and Shinsuke Mitsuoka.
Manchester
There were some great eclectic pieces from the Manchester bunch. Jessica Nicol had some intriguing, and slightly creepy in a good way, hand inspired pieces; Michael Bolton-Heaton produced some amazing honey-comb looking pieces; Millie Betito went for a Hannah Marshall-esque drapery approch; then there was Poppy Warwicker-Le Breton, Rebecca Thompson and Susy Brown.
